You can lead a horse to water…
Mustang girls are made of gold! The girls have had a very energetic couple of days! Thursday started out with water front and the girls loved playing in the sand and jumping off of the dock! Just after we played some hula hoop games. They spent time playing games like who can hula the longest and holding hands in a circle and passing the hoop around by stepping through the hoop and helping their team mates. Who knew you could have so much fun with some hula hoops. Our afternoon at the barn was awesome. Lessons are really starting to progress. The girls are really starting to enjoy everything. They lead their horses to and from the arena and love it when they bring the horses to the water. They have learnt that you can bring a horse to water, but you can’t make them drink! Our evening was spent playing a game we call Wells Fargo! Wells Fargo is a game in two teams and it’s similar to capture the flag! Each team has a base with “money” and they also have a sock attached to their side. The aim is to retrieve the money from the other base and put it into your own. Put if someone pulls your sock you are stuck! You have to stand and wait for your team mate to give you a sock! Mustang really enjoyed playing this game and worked so well in their teams.
Today it rained the whole day! Our morning started off at waterfront as normal. Even though it was raining, it was still very warm and the girls happily went swimming! After the girls had a bit of a cabin clean up and relaxed until lunch time. Our barn time was cut a little short unfortunately due to the rain. It just wouldn’t stop! So this evening the girls will be having a movie night down in our little shelter next to the barn. Blankets, popcorn and a movie is a great way to spend a Friday night!
