NOTE: Unless mandated by the Department of Health, Frost Valley WILL NOT be requiring campers to be vaccinated for COVID-19 for Summer 2023, but we are STRONGLY RECOMMENDING parents get their children vaccinated. We will be working with the New York State Department of Health, CDC, and American Camp Association to stay updated on guidelines.

ADIRONDACK HIKE & PADDLE (Grades 8-9)

(INTERMEDIATE LEVEL)

Can’t decide between paddling on the water and summiting peaks? This trip features both! Spend the first half of the 10-day trip backpacking through the Adirondacks. During this phase, campers will focus on their backcountry and hiking technical skills. After summiting some high peaks, it’s time to swap trekking poles for paddles as campers embark on 5-days of canoeing through the pristine rivers and lakes along the Raquette River. This is an intermediate-level trip in the leadership trip progression. Previous backpacking and canoe experience is recommended. Campers should be comfortable in and around water for the best experience on this trip.
