Well, “summit” is an apt double meaning: Windsong, Pac, and Sunburst campers are here at Frost Valley for their final summer as campers. If they apply for our in-training programs (CiT, AiT, FiT, WiT) and are admitted into one of them, we will see them next summer as they move through our leadership experience. But this is it: being campers at 15 y.o. has its special pleasures and obligations. The latter includes a 3-day/2-night overnight hike. Farm Camp is under way and the animals are excited to meet all of their new friends. We started the session off with opening campfire, which was full of wacky songs, skits from each yurt, and many other performances, including a rapper! It is always so much fun to see what talent comes out of Farm Camp! Today all of our campers got to choose which specialties they will be joining for the week. Howdy Y’all! Let session 2 commence! The girls had their first ride today, so that our barn manager could match them all with their perfect horse, who they will be assigned to tomorrow! The girls get their own horse for the full two weeks of being here, and will groom and tack, leading and tie, and progress in their lessons with them.
