A big day at the park
It was an early morning at Pete’s Pavilion on Thursday. After some final runs on the mountain boards, the group headed back to camp for lunch and some skating before the thunderstorms rolled in.
There was a lot of work done on the rails and some doctoring of poses too. Sometimes to get a good photo, you have to get a little creative, right?
Today the Boarding Basics crew headed to Skatetime 209 in Accord to get experience on more serious skating terrain. The crew was all over the park as they were perfecting 50-50’s and dropping in on some bigger ramps.
After the park closed they had dinner out and then came back for showers and some R&R. It was a great week full of energy, sharing, and laughter. Thank you for sharing your children with us for this week. We hope to see them all again next year. There will be a link posted to all of the photos once they are uploaded. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Zach couldn't keep himself out of the woods when growing up. He started working at a Northern Wisconsin YMCA Camp as a wilderness trip leader while in college and fell in love with getting kids into nature. The smiles on kids faces after returning from a once in a life time wilderness experience is why he is here today. Zach brought his talents to Frost Valley YMCA, in 2014, when he started as the Trips Coordinator and soon was promoted to Adventure Director. Zach loves all forms of Wilderness exploration, though some would say his heart lies most with canoeing.
