Carissa Pomeroy is Named Employee of the Month

Carissa Pomeroy is the Interim Director of Nursing Services. She has been with Frost Valley YMCA since June 2021. She came to Frost Valley for the career opportunities, the open and accepting community, and the sense of home. Her favorite memory is the end of her first summer. She and the staff sat around the table in the Wellness Center and talked and laughed about their favorite moments from the summer. It was a great time to wind down and reminisce about the amazing summer they had experienced. Carissa believes that Frost Valley is a place that gives kids a great sense of community and a safe, fun place to just be kids. She plays a valuable role in ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all staff members and campers. Carissa thinks it’s important that Frost Valley fosters an open and accepting community by hiring staff and having campers from all around the world.
