Adventure Doin’ some Creekin’!

Today was another beautiful day in the village! The days activities were packed! In just today our campers did all of the following: worked on our local trails, made dream catchers, hiked the creeks (mo’ creekin’!), identified edible plants and made tea, relaxed with their cabin mates in tent time, acted out improv games, climbed the climbing tower, scaled the high ropes, jumped off the leap of faith, trick or treated in the administrative building, explored the pond’s ecology, practiced creative writing, danced to dub step while doing yoga, learned about Frost Valley’s residential birds of prey, played friendly ball swap (dodge ball), and had enough energy at the end of the day to enjoy a story from legendary Bud Cox.
Today our campers will sleep with energy. Just another awesome day in Advill.

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Zach couldn't keep himself out of the woods when growing up. He started working at a Northern Wisconsin YMCA Camp as a wilderness trip leader while in college and fell in love with getting kids into nature. The smiles on kids faces after returning from a once in a life time wilderness experience is why he is here today. Zach brought his talents to Frost Valley YMCA, in 2014, when he started as the Trips Coordinator and soon was promoted to Adventure Director. Zach loves all forms of Wilderness exploration, though some would say his heart lies most with canoeing.
