Do the wave! (heat wave, that is)
It’s another blazing hot day here at Frost Valley, but don’t worry, that just means we had an extra mandatory rest hour to relax in the shade for a while, and took lots of extra time to cool down in the creek and the lake!
We didn’t rest all day though, AdVill started the morning off right by learning and practicing how to make fires and shelters from scratch. Later in the afternoon, some campers learned how to rappel off of our Y-tower, and others got to ride the giant swing! For those who wanted to relax a little more, they made some awesome tie-dye and hand dipped candles.
The Village is looking forward to another Frost Valley summer camp classic tonight, it’s CHALLENGE NIGHT! Campers will get to show off their special talents and fun quirks as they compete against other teams for ultimate glory.

He started working at a Northern Wisconsin YMCA Camp as a wilderness trip leader while in college and fell in love with getting kids into nature. The smiles on kids faces after returning from a once in a life time wilderness experience is why he is here today. Zach brought his talents to Frost Valley YMCA, in 2014, when he started as the Trips Coordinator and soon was promoted to Adventure Director. Zach loves all forms of Wilderness exploration, though some would say his heart lies most with canoeing.
