Frost Valley YMCA Invites Families to Several Fall Events

Fall is the perfect time for families to enjoy seasonal activities like going on hayrides, making apple cider, and painting pumpkins. Frost Valley YMCA invites community members to join us for family events in September and October.

On Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m Frost Valley will be holding a 3D Archery Shoot. The event takes place at 2244 Frost Valley Road in Claryville. The 3D archery course consists of a half-mile loop trail with 28 three-dimensional targets along the way including deer, bears, and turkeys. The event is included at no additional charge for Frost Valley Outdoor Sporting Participants. For non-participants, adults and teens 16 years of age and older are $20, children 7-15 are $8, and children 6 and under are free. For more information, please call 845-985-2291 ext. 217.

On September 30, 2018, Frost Valley will be hosting a free Fall Farm Day from 1-4 p.m. at Frost Valley’s Educational Farm, which is located at 2875 Denning Road in Claryville. Bring the family for a fun-filled day of farm activities including making apple cider, picking vegetables, and feeding the animals. Pick out Halloween pumpkins, go on a hayride, meet the animals, and enjoy farm-fresh food.

On October 6, 2018, Frost Valley will be taking part in The Daniel Pierce Library’s Giant Pumpkin Party at the Grahamsville Fairgrounds on Route 55. There will be a parade, games, pumpkin decorating, crafts, bounce houses, a haunted house, and plenty of great food. Stop by the pavilion to participate in Frost Valley’s kid-friendly obstacle course. For more information, go to www.danielpiercelibrary.org.

Frost Valley’s Halloween Community Day takes place on October 27, 2018 between 9 a.m.–10 p.m. Fall activities like painting pumpkins and making apple cider will be going on between 9 a.m.–4:45 p.m. and Halloween-themed games and haunted trails will take place between 7-10 p.m. While this is a free event, advanced registration is required. Please register by calling 845-985-2291 ext. 450. These events give parents and their children quality bonding opportunities during a busy time of the year with the new school year underway.

Frost Valley YMCA is also pleased to offer parents another exciting year of School-age Child Care at Tri-Valley Elementary School. The program is offered to students in Kindergarten to sixth grade after school until 5:45 p.m. Since a limited number of spots are still available, families who are interested should call 845-985-2291 right away to ensure their child’s spot.
