Starting Strong
Things are off and running here at EVR for session 2! We’ve had a hot couple of days but the campers have stayed cool playing loads of water games with their new yurt mates and counselors.
Campers also all had their evaluation rides today for us to best match them with their horses for this first week of the session. Everyone got to ride and there was a smile on everyone’s faces. Campers also learned the basics of leading, tacking, tying, and grooming their horses today. Each day from here on out they will be doing this themselves for their horse (with help from the instructors and counselors of course)!
Campers also worked on some teambuilding activities and finished the evening off with paper bag skits where they got to think on their feet and showcase their acting skills. Tomorrow is shaping up to be another day of riding and friendship. Stay tuned for more adventures in the valley. Until then, be well and build strong!
