Employee of the Month: R. John Reidy III
R. John Reidy III began working at Frost Valley YMCA in August 2017 as a Program Instructor. R. John was drawn to Frost Valley because he wanted to advance his
career in adventure and outdoor education, and Frost Valley was the perfect place. What stands out for R. John about workingat Frost Valley is the community here. He
enjoys being able to work with groups and facilitate teambuilding, and then get to experience that same camaraderie with his colleagues. In addition to the values that we embrace as an organization, he believes Frost Valley instills certain principles in people, including the importance of play and being present in nature. He enjoys playing a part in that by being on the front lines and forming a connection withFrost Valley’s students and guests. “To paraphrase Todd Newberry, ‘I get to go the last four feet,’” R. John said.
