Frost Valley YMCA Announces Dates for Spring Break Day Camp

Spring break from school can be a fun time for children to relax and play, but it can also be a difficult time for working parents who need to find childcare while school is closed. Frost Valley YMCA announces the dates for Spring Break Day Camp as April 15-19 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. for children between the ages of four and sixteen.

Spring Break Day Camp will be held at Frost Valley, which is located at 2000 Frost Valley Road in Claryville. Children will enjoy candle making, Incredible Edibles (classes in our Teaching Kitchen) and climbing. Campers may take an offsite trip to a local pool, weather permitting. Spring Break Day Campers can also take a tour of the Maple Sugar House to taste maple syrup and learn how it’s made, plus visit the Frost Valley Farm to meet and pet baby animals!

“Spring Break is the perfect time for children to explore the great outdoors, get some fresh air and exercise, and make new friends,” says Jessie Emmons, Director of Community Programs for Frost Valley. “Spring Break Day Camp not only fills children’s days with healthy activities, it also gives working parents peace of mind, knowing their children are well cared for by professional camp staff.”

The rate for four days is $160 per child and the rate for five days is $185 per child. Both rates include transportation from select locations and lunch at no additional cost. Local busing is available from the Monticello Government Building, Ideal Food Basket in Liberty, the Tri-Valley School, the Neversink Garage, Big Indian Park, and Claryville Church.

A limited number of spots are available for Spring Break Camp so interested parents are urged to register their child right away to ensure their spot. Please call 845-985-2291 ext. 306 for more information or register online.
