Harvest Day at the Farm
Yesterday we celebrated Sunday by having a Harvest Day at the Farm! Each yurt was tasked with making a different aspect of our communal dinner last night. We ate a beef curry with rice, we also had some fresh bread, zucchini fritters and a berries with cream desert! The best part of this whole day, more than 3/4 of the ingredients in our dinner was made and harvested here at our farm! Not only was the food delicious, but our campers got to experience a real farm to table experience.
Eating together outside at our long, make-shift, picnic table is definitely a high light of the session.
Today, we returned to our typical schedule. Campers signed up for new specialties and campers choices. This evening, we are having our camp dance. Our Farm Leaders chose the theme: Geriatric Jamboree!
