Over 260 People Attend Frost Valley YMCA’s Holiday Community Dinner
On Friday, December 7, 2018 Frost Valley YMCA welcomed over 260 local families to a free Holiday Community Dinner from 5:30 – 8 p.m. Guests enjoyed a delicious buffet-style dinner with all the trimmings. Families enjoyed quality time together sharing a holiday feast, decorating cookies, and making special winter-themed crafts.
“The Community Dinner has become a cherished tradition at Frost Valley,” says Jessie Emmons, Director of Community Programs for Frost Valley. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to bring individuals and families together in the spirit of the holidays to share a special meal and camaraderie.”
Frost Valley would like to thank Purdy and Sons and Riviera Produce for donating the food for this wonderful meal. Rolling V kindly donated the busing for the night so that local families without transportation could attend. This event was also made possible thanks to the help of many Frost Valley staff and Chartwells employees who volunteered their time to make this a special night for families.
“Frost Valley is dedicated to serving children and families in the community,” says Jerry Huncosky, CEO of Frost Valley YMCA. “Community is more than just one of Frost Valley’s eight core values, it’s the ideal we strive to model by creating intentional experiences that bring people together.”
