Packs Out for Pack out!
This morning three of Adventure Village’s trips left to either backpack or canoe in the Adirondacks! The other trips, which will go backpacking right here in the Catskills, spent the day preparing their food and gear for their early departure tomorrow morning. All of our campers were filled with energy today as the excitement builds before getting on trail! To top it off, tonight they have the chance to boogie out their last jitters of excitement at the Camp Dance before getting a good night’s sleep to feel well-rested for the big day tomorrow. Blog posts will return when the kids do (Tuesday\Wednesday) and trail stories will be shared!
(As seen above, the canoe trip was ready to be silly and excited, despite the early morning rise – stories already in the making!)

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Zach couldn't keep himself out of the woods when growing up. He started working at a Northern Wisconsin YMCA Camp as a wilderness trip leader while in college and fell in love with getting kids into nature. The smiles on kids faces after returning from a once in a life time wilderness experience is why he is here today. Zach brought his talents to Frost Valley YMCA, in 2014, when he started as the Trips Coordinator and soon was promoted to Adventure Director. Zach loves all forms of Wilderness exploration, though some would say his heart lies most with canoeing.
