Second Week
Things have been flying by at EVR! How is it already the second week? Campers finished their first week of arena lessons and are now into their choice of either a more advanced arena lesson or trail riding for their lessons this week. They also got to do boating, archery, hiking, arts & crafts, and so much more!
This weekend we did our bareback lessons where every camper got to participate and feel closer to their horses than ever. We finished Saturday with both water games and creeking to help keep everyone nice and cool. Our Saturday Night evening program was Ladder ball, keep an eye on the pictures for that game, they’re definitely worth 1,000 words!
Sunday when campers woke up they all received their acceptance letters to Hogwarts for our Harry Potter-themed day! Campers made wands, brooms, candles, collected spells, and battled it out on the quidditch pitch. The evening ended with popcorn, butterbeer, and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
Today we have been battling the rain on and off, but no thunder or lightning as of yet so all activities have continued as normal! Our sleep/campout this evening will be canceled due to everything being incredibly wet but the campers will still cook their dinner over the fire and enjoy roasted marshmallows.
