Sunshine day!
Hello! What a wonderful Monday we had here at Frost Valley! The sun was shining, and we certainly used the sunshine to our advantage!
I caught up with Tacoma as they spent some time with our garden manager, Alex in his amazing greenhouse and garden! We walked around, smelling the fresh rosemary, thyme and lavender while also getting little samples of fresh tomatoes (picked right off the vine for us!), very mildly flavored jalapeños, and some yellow delicious apples! The garden at frost valley will often provide fresh vegetables for us in the dining hall depending on the time of season, Alex told us the cole slaw we had with dinner Sunday night was made with cabbage from the garden – how exciting! 
Next, I caught up with another group of Tacoma campers as they hung out along the creek. Creeking is definitely a favorite pastime here at Frost Valley, since it combines beautiful scenery with some creative fun! Plus, the sound of the creek as it flows is incredibly relaxing – so much so that one camper even fell asleep in the middle of the creek on an oversize rock! Camp is definitely tiring, and you never know exactly where you’ll find a spare moment of quiet to relax in; it was certainly one way to take advantage of the calm atmosphere! 
Lastly, I caught up with Hemlock village on their overnight! Overnights are one of the best parts of summer camp; getting to sleep under the stars with all your new (and maybe old!) friends, making pita pizzas over the fire, and after the sunsets getting to roast your marshmallows to have some delicious smores! Plus, there is almost always a stunning view of camp either at the campsite or along the way.
