Thank You, Neversink General Store!

Community is all about helping our neighbors because it’s the right thing to do, because we care about one another, and because mutual support creates a sense of belonging – which is especially needed right now.

A few months ago, we were honored to have the opportunity to donate some of our farm produce (including eggs!) to the Neversink General Store. The produce went toward the store’s initiative to give local school children free breakfast once school turned virtual, causing many students to go without their usual in-school breakfast program.

Now our friends at the Neversink General Store are helping us with Frost Valley’s Limited-Run Day Camp! Owned by Cristina Aby-Azar and Mark McLewin, the Neversink General Store is located at the Sinclair gas station on Rte 55 as you’re driving to Frost Valley from the south, and the store is currently providing our day campers with their snacks each day. We are so grateful to be receiving 25 days of snacks! For 50 people a day, that amounts to 1,250 snacks – a savings of over $1,000. At a time like this when we continue to suffer financial hardships due to program cancellations, this generous support helps us continue to carry out our mission to children and families.
