What’s Adventure been up to?!

This morning we sent off five trips on their mini-adventures! The village has gone exploring the Shawangunks, the Adirondacks, and the Catskills. Whether it’s canoeing, backpacking, or climbing, we were so excited to send them off and we will be even more psyched to see them when they come home to camp on Tuesday or Wednesday. Below are some of their early morning send off pictures!

And what have they been doing for the last couple of days? Dancing in the rain! Or playing/jumping/creeking in the rain; generally, making the best of the weather. In the patches of sun we’ve had, the village has been able to do some rope elements, have a backcountry cook off, hike to the farm and to the top of Doubletop, and play some pretty gnarly Ultimate Kickball. Below are some pictures of those days as well!

And as for our Adventure two-week trips, all are doing very well. Our Vermont Voyager trip is heading out for their kayaking trip after a fun week of sailing. The Catskill Trail Builders are taking a day or two break from their service work to go climbing in New Paltz today and our West Virginia trip is doing some caving today and climbing tomorrow. Finally, our Maine Coasters (or Maineiacs as we call them) are enjoying a lower key day today before starting their kayaking journey tomorrow!

All our Adventure kids–trips and village–are out adventuring until Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday so until then, no news is good news! The next time we see them they’ll be stepping off the bus back to camp!
