Hird Flag Raising

Session two is off to a smooth start for the Hird. We kicked off camp this morning with our first Flag Raising of session two. Flag Raising is a tradition that stretches all the way back when Camp Wawayanda was still located in New Jersey. It is a great way to get campers and staff up, moving around and making noise before breakfast. We share birthday wishes, pearls of wisdom and a camp song in front of 300 campers and staff.
